Inclusion and Diversity

The EY EXA comprises a set of descriptors that settings can use to evaluate their practice and provision for multilingual learners and their families. Carrying out a self-evaluation using the descriptors enables settings to identify what they are already doing that is in line with good practice, to understand how to improve upon existing practice and to identify any gaps/areas for development that may exist. This enables settings to address those gaps in an informed, focused way.

Services for Young Children have developed a list of books which can help support Inclusion and Diversity in the Early Years. The books are organised under general headings but many fit into more than one category. This list will be updated regularly as new books are published.
