Leading Foundation Stage Practitioner
Be the best of the best!
The recruitment round for the 2020-21 Leading Foundation Stage Practitioner (LFSP) initiative is open from 27 January until 24 February (to commence in the role from 20 April 2020).
LFSPs are leading practitioners recruited from the Private, Voluntary and Independent sector and teachers working in the Early Years Foundation Stage. LFSPs need to be passionate and enthusiastic about quality provision and have experience of promoting outstanding practice within their own setting, (childminder and group setting), or school. The practice in their setting or school will be recognised by Ofsted and Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI), including, where appropriate, HMI monitoring visits and visits by HIAS and/or the Early Years Advisory Team as being of high quality, with either an outstanding or good inspection judgement.
All LFSPs undergo a rigorous application and selection process led by the Early Years Advisory Team. LFSPs will need to demonstrate a sound understanding of Early Years principles and pedagogy as well as be able to offer a consistent and professional level of service to all schools and settings, including childminders, that receive support from them. They will be supported and guided by the Early Years Advisory Team.
If you are shortlisted, you will receive a visit from a member of the Early Years Advisory Team. All successful applicants will be notified on 1 April. Please do not hesitate to contact a member of the team if you have any queries. The application form and role specification is available below.
